Tried a bunch of solutions from google to no avail. Multiple machines/OSes couldn't login to the samba shares as guests.
I have several shares on a drive that was prepopulated with directories and data from when I upgraded the hard drive. Not sure if it's relevant, but I want to include it. I did run chmod 777 -r on the directory(ies) that I'm sharing.
Under ACL, nobody and nogroup both have Read/Write permissions and Others has Read/Write/Execute.
Under SMB/CIFS > Shares > Edit > Public, all the shares have Guest Allowed or Only Guest selected. Interestingly, I was able to access the Only Guest share with my user.
Here's two of the share's entries in smb.conf:
ZitatAlles anzeigen[Deluge]

Any ideas?
