It works fine in my test VM with the 4.7 kernel. Might have something to do with your nvme/uefi setup. Not sure though.
I agree... At the moment, I will stop further testing.

Cloning to nvme drive doesn't work.
Different errors by creating the partition table and so on...
The only way to work with omv, is to install Omv 3 on Debian 8 in UEFI mode.
If there is a way to install omv 3 with UEFI enabled, a direct installation of omv 3 could be possible.
After some failed installations, now all works fine.
Thanks for the hint with another browser. In Edge, VirtualBox could be opened and after clearing cache in chrome too.
VirtualBox only runs with 3.16 Kernel.
With 4.7 I get the same error how I described in my first post.
The config.php looks exactly like the one you posted
First I installed vbox from the gui. Later I tried a manual install.
I tried installations from 3.16 and 4.7 Kernel. Nothing works.
Thanks, I will try it.
I have partitoned the NVME drive and use only 20GB for OS.
I will not waste a SATA port for OS.

Nope. OMV 2.x does not work on Debian 8.
I have installed OMV 3 on Debian 8 and it works
The core of my Question is. Is it possible to move an installation of OMV 2 from one drive to another?
Hi,
currently I have installed OMV 3 on Debian 8, because I have a NVME drive.
OMV 2 and Debian 7 can't detect the drive and OMV 3 shows grub error.
With this guide (http://www.poweredbyjeff.com/2…750-SSD-in-Debian-Jessie/), I could install Debian 8 and later OMV 3
I feel not so happy with the installation, because of some errors and OMV 3 ist still in testing.
I prefer a stable environment.
When I install OMV 2 on a normal HDD, is it possible to move the installation later (after all updates are installed and NVME drive will be detected) to the NVME drive and remove the HDD?
If yes, could someone write me a short guide.
Thanks in advance
Marco
Hi,
I have installed OMV3 on Debian 8 because I use a NVME drive.
A normal install of OMV 3 is not posible because of a grub install bug.
I used this manual to install Debian 8: http://www.poweredbyjeff.com/2…750-SSD-in-Debian-Jessie/
After complete install, I installed OMV 3.
All works fine except VirtualBox.
On installation I get some warnings:

Reading state information...
The following extra packages will be installed:
libcrypt-openssl-random-perl libcrypt-passwdmd5-perl makepasswd
phpvirtualbox virtualbox-ext-pack-installer
The following NEW packages will be installed:

openmediavault-virtualbox phpvirtualbox virtualbox-ext-pack-installer
