Big thanks to Fox_exe for his work to run OMV on WDV MyCloud...

It works for me a long time on a Gen1 with CleanDebian-Jessie and OMV 3.xx.

root@MyCloud:~# uname -a
Linux MyCloud 3.2.68 #22 SMP Sat Nov 28 13:38:43 UTC 2015 armv7l GNU/Linux

But now, I must reinstall the System.
After installing the OS and an apt-get update && apt-get upgrade the installation of OMV breaks with errors...

If I try to install the missing packages I get an error, that there is no installation candidate fpr php-xxx or more errors for samba...

What is going wrong?

Have someone an idea?

Ich habe mit mitlerweile eine VM gebaut und dort die AMD64-Version installiert...
...scheint auch mit Debian 8.8 zu funzen...
...die Fragen werden mehr statt weniger...

Die WDV MyCloud Gen1 ist hat einen armv71-Prozessor und da läuft immer noch ein 3.2.68-Kernel darauf...

Das Ursprungs-System stammt von hier: WD MyCloud

Bisher hat das auch immer wunderbar funktioniert, aber nach dem ich das System neu aufgesetzt habe, läßt sich OMV nicht mehr installieren...

Ich bin mit Linux noch nicht so ganz firm, aber Tante Google ist dein Freund...

Also versuche ich mich anhand der Fehlermeldungen durch zu hangeln, wie ich wieder auf ein Debian 8.7.1 komme...
...leider bisher ohne Erfolg...

Lieber wäre es mir ja, wenn das doofe OMV auf Debian 8.8 gefixt wird...

Debian 8 ist schon richtig.

Im /etc/apt/sources.list stand uhrsprünglich stable, habe es schon gegen jessie ausgetauscht...
...und alles hinzugefügt, was hier so empfohlen wurde...

Laut apt-cache policity wird derzeit Debian Jessie v8.8 installiert...

...aber damit läuft wohl OMV auch nicht mehr...

Derzeit versuche ich mich mit APT-Pining und Downgrading... :-\

Wäre es nicht einfacher OMV auf Python3.5 zu heben?
Das scheint mit das Paket zu sein, wo alles klemmt...

Sorry, same problem here...

I use a WDV MyCloud Gen1. After install CleanDebian from fox and first update I can't install OMV...

I try the method in the votdevs link...

Wolf2000s script dont work for me. Only omvextras was installed and makes problems to uninstall... :-\

exit 0

Any ideas to reinstall OMV?
