I have an OMV 6.9.9-1 with NFS share that I connect to with ESXi 6.7

I have loaded a new host with ESXi 7.0

When I try to connect to the share with 7.0 I get "Invalid or unsupported security type"

I have tried disabling NFS versions but I need to keep the ESXi 6.7 connected till I move the VM's over.

Can any one point me to where to look?

New install of OMV 1.0 on HP DL380 G5.
All the drive bays will be full for data drives so I am trying to boot to a
Laptop drive plugged into the internal usb port with a usb to sata adapter.
OMV installs with no errors but on reboot I get a Grub error: out of disk.

If I plug the same drive into a drive bay it boots right up.
How can I get it to boot to the drive when connected to a usb adapter.
Have tried SSD and standard laptop drive.

I did a fresh install of Kralizec 1.0.8 using this link "https://flexion.org/posts/2014-06-openmediavault-on-debian.html".
How do I get the iSCSI target installed. The one in the plugins does not work. I think it is for OMV 0.5.

    Also tried from this link
    iscsi-target plugin install error

    apt-get install module-assistant debhelper build-essential
    m-a a-i iscsitarget

I get an error "Build of the package iscsitarger failed!"

    System info.
    1.0.8 (Kalizec)
    Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64

    This worked.
Started a format on each disk using mkfs -t ext3 /dev/sdX
Cancled the format and all the disk showed up when I tried to create raid.
Don't know why that worked but it did.

Raid creation fail after all that because one of my disk was bad.
Will try again when I get a replacement.

    Thanks for all the help.

New system with OMV 0.5 installed and upgraded.
    Had AOC-SASLP-MV8 HDD controller card.
Physical Disks view show all 8 Drives.
When I go to create a Raid it only give me 2 out of 8 to choice.
Did a wipe of all the drives with no luck.

This is the error I get all the time
    Resource limit matched Service localhost

    Action: alert

    Your faithful employee,
    monit

    Here is all the Specs
    0.4.31 (Fedaykin)
Intel Xeon CPU E5405 @2.00Ghz Quad core
Load avg does go above 1 at peak times.
8 gig of ram. I thought it only had 4.
Linux 3.2.0.bpo.3-amd64. Had to upgrade the Linux to support controller card.
8 Seagate ST3300657SS Hard drives software Raid 10
    HDD Controller SAS2LP-MV8
    Filesystem ext4
    2 Gig links bonded
Bond peaks at about 750M transfer.
Share is NFS with number of servers set to 32
    Extra options on share subtree_check,secure,async

The problem is I get an email several times a day about OMV
load average being high and my systems getting slow.
I currently have 6 Virtual machines running off it.

What is the best test for read/write performance of your Raid?

I am using OMV for vm storage.
How much deference would more memory make as far as performance?
Will I notice much upgrading from 4 gig to 8 or 16 gig.
Does OMV use memory for read and or write performance?

I have 8 15k SAS drives in a software raid 10 now but need more speed.
    Using NFS for shared storage.
Is there any tweaks to OMV I can do to get more iops without adding more drives or
    going SSD.

    3s_be,
Did you ever find a solution for this issue. I have the same setup a you with the same problem. If the interface is bonded you have to set a gateway and I don't want one on the bonded interface.

I have 2 networks, one for management and one for SANs traffic.
I want to bond 2 nics with 802.3ad for the SANs traffic with no gateway address.
The GUI will not let me do that. Is there a workaround?

    Example.
eth0 for management with the gateway
eth1 and eth2 bonded for data traffic with no gateway.

    Thanks
