Attached you'll find two files:
#1: upgrade protocol
#2 screenshot from webgui after reboot
Thanks again!
M.A.
It did....not work: still 3.0.99
Hi ryecoaaron!
I would like to upgrade my system (I think it is time for it...), but I get another error message (see attachement). Would you be so kind and could you check the message again?
Thank you so much!
M.A.
Thanks - looks much better!
But there is still one or better two problems:
#1) update management in gui has one package: openmediavault 3.0.99 with 0.00 B...........? (That's my current version.)
#2) still can't do an upgrade...apt-get distro-upgrade...means that there is nothing to upgrade...
What you be so kind to support me again?
Greetings,
M.A.
Good afternoon!
Did what you recommended...unfortunately still an error message (please see attachement). Do you think it could be possible that the language thing is the problem?
M.A.
Dear ryecoaaron!
The output of your suggested prompt says:
/etc/apt/sources.list:deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian stretch-backports main
/etc/apt/sources.list:deb-src http://ftp.debian.org/debian stretch-backports main
Greetings,
M.A.
I see that you are offline - and that is okay, because it is quite late.
I am also deadly tired...nevertheless I would be very thankful if you could help me again - probably tomorrow, or the following days.
Thanks a lot!
M.A.
Yes sir - I did it as root!
Hi!
Did: rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/openmediavault-kernel-backports.list
Got a message that it is not possible to remove because file or folder was nout found...?
Have I aready mentioned that I am confused?
M.A.

Good evening!
Thank you so much for your help at that time!
Attached you'll find the error message. Be so kind and have a look at it.
Haven't changed anything...just what I mentioned: used the debian sources.list generator and did a new sources.list.
Looking forward hearing from you,
M.A.
Well I tried to: omv-release-upgrade...but got a lot of : packages 404 not found...
that brings me back to my sources.list - I am I right?
Hi ryecoaaron!
Yeah - I know...but as fas as I know (mentioned above that I am not a Unix guy ....I have to: apt-get upgrade.........but that doesn't work either.
What can I do?
M.A.
Can't find a working sources.list...still hoping that this is my problem...
Please: HELP!
Greetings,
M.A.
Hello KM0201!
Thanks for your post!
Well - I haven't found anything in this forum yet...but I will keep looking. If you could post a link I would be thankful!
Good evening,

Dear community!
First of all: sorry - I am not English native speaking and I am not really a Unix/Linux guy!
I have got an OMV NAS which is working very reliable for about two years now. Unfortunately I have an update-problem right now. Some days ago i had a look at the webgui and a wanted to do some updates. But I received an error message (compare attachement).
What I have tried so far:
1) I checked DNS (I use my router, but I have also tried: 8.8.8.8)
2) I updated the sources.list from debian sources generator
None was successful.
Would be very thankful for your help!
Greetings,
M.A.

Hello!
Found out that it is possible via BIOS. That seems to be the easiest way for me.
Thanks for help. Hope this will also help others!!
All the best to you!
