Hi everyone!
I'm new to OMV (and generally a Linux noob), but I'm trying to get a home server/NAS up and running from old parts and a few Craigslist finds.
I'm trying to use an ATTO R380 RAID Card (with a Sonnet R800 RAID Array), but I'm running into issues as the Linux drivers for it only support kernel 2.6.x. I've tried to downgrade the kernel manually to 2.6.39 but I keep running into issues trying to boot through it- I feel like the current version of OMV/Debian don't like running on the old kernel.
Is there anything else I can try? The Linux drivers for the card are available through the manufacturer's website here, I would try to recompile them to run on the newer kernel but I'm really not sure how.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! If I need to buy a new RAID card that's also fine, if anyone has any recommendations I'm all ears.
