Raulfg3, one question please. Since my DL380 G4 runs an array of SCSI disk, do you imply that I have to
1: add a bootable SATA PCI-X card (expensive !!)
2: hook a sata disk to it
3: install OMV on it
?Dropkick Murphy, one question please. Do you mean that OMV can be installed through synaptic on a running debian ? If so, would you be so kind as to give me the link to the PPA ?

Does anyone have any clue as to why a DL380 Gen 4 fails to accomodate OMV but is ok with Ubuntu 1804?
Setup: Dual Xeon DL380 Gen4, 4gB ram, one logical volume (RAID 5, six hard drives, two spares, SCSI)
Installation seems to go well but nothing happens at reboot.
Hint: when installing Ubuntu, the volume is seen as SCSI 0,0,0,4 but when trying to install OMV, the volume is seen as SCSI -,0,0,0 (first figure is a dash).Flabbergasted !
