When I try to access the webgui through my vpn connection it won't show up and keeps loading. the VPN connection has a ip in a different range as the Nas has.
Other pages hosted on the Nas are working fine (plex, transmission, etc)
Does anyone know how to fix this?

The config files will be written into the ram and when shutting down it will be written to the stick/cf
im using a 10 hour interval for syncing the ram to disk -
I realy would like to know why OMV cannot operate like this, I got it running this way and it still works fine as far as i know.

There are ways to reduce write operations to an USB stick or CF card.
- mount the stick/cf as read only
- mount a tmpfs as read write
- bind them using unionfs or aufs (it stacks the filesystems writes will go into the tmpfs(ram) and the reads will be done from the stick/cf)to save the data at shutdown, you can remount the stick/cf as rw and rsync the data from the tmpfs to the stick/cf (or just copy it)
the downside is when the power goes out the data is gone (maybe you can sync it every x minutes, so you only loose x mins of data)
