Hi. Yesterday i installed OMV on a litte home server. The server will work as a NAS and for nextxcloud.
I have dynamic IP so i cant connect to the server outside LAN.
Now to my question. Will it be best to set the DDNS at my router or should I use a plugin in OMV for this?
For about 10 years ago I run DDNS service with no-ip, but for the last years I haven't need it.
Now days it isn't just no-ip and DynDNS. It is so many distributors for the service.
Which is best? Yeah I know that question will start fight 
I want a free service, but I want it to work
I have looked at duckdns, but it feels stange that I only can login with google or facebook account.
Checked out freedns.afraid.com too, but the website was not so easy to understand.
I have own doamin I want to connect to my DDNS.
Is it more secure to use it directly in OMV or is is better to have it in my router? (router D-Link DIR-882).
I have follwed "Techno Dad Life" youTube series and they is really great
I installed OMV with his guide and also nextcloud. Now he has a new guide with "Lets encrypt" too nextcloud, and there he also installed duckdns plugin in OMV.
Is duckdns he installed for the hole server or just for nextcloud?
