    Hello everyone,

I've been trying to figure this out for a few days and no luck so far.

I want to know how to determine and set the number of days that samba keeps track of changes / audits. When I look it up in the GUI log "viewer" it only shows the logs from today. I SSHd into /var/logs and found syslog - syslog.7 but that's also just a few days nowhere near how long the system has been up and running.

Another thing I noticed is that the logs are only in syslog combined with the other system logs when I go into /var/log/samba there are several files there like host names of the computers connected but all of them are completely empty.

So just to summarize I'd like to know is there any way to view more than todays logs in the web GUI and more importantly how to I setup the number of days for the samba audits.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello all,

I've been trying to solve this myself for the past few hours and I can't figure it out.

I've tried upgrading to version 4 today and was unable to do so, while doing so I noticed some bigger issues.

I've noticed today that any changes made are reverted after a restart. I've researched it and apparently the system may be in a read only mode. I've found no way to change this so far.

While researching I also saw references that this can happen when a flash drive is failing. OMV is installed on a SSD, the flash plugin was installed and SMART shows the SSD as healthy.

Any help would be deeply appreciated.

    Regards
    Antonio
