    That sounds quite logical, I have to agree with you tkaiser. I just assumed that it would have to do with the power usage of larger disks, I thought they might use more. I might even try putting in larger disks to see if it works.

    Hard to believe since there is no 4TB barrier. If 3 TB work, then 3072 TB should also work. But maybe an artificial restriction and not related to OMV anyway.

    I am refering to my NetGear ReadyNAS and SeagateNas systems, both state they do not support drives larger than 4TB. Perhaps larger drives did not exist at the time, I don't know.

    Thank you. I will test it, even if it means I need to reinstall OMV afterwards. I need the experience of setting it all up again. I am enjoying this OMV very much. It is indeed a most usefull piece of software, that is able to revive old hardware. I currently run 2 small NAS systems at home. Ons is NetGear ReadyNas, the other is Seagate BlackArmour NAS. They are both limited in that they only hafe 2 bays, and can only thake 4TB drives. I need bigger and more drives, and OMV has allowed me to do this securely.

    HI tkaiser,

    Yes, I followed your advice, it is disabled, and the flash utility has been re-installed. The system seems stable today. I will see once all files have been synchronized. Then data transfers will be much reduced.
    I'll check but I believe it is a high quality thumb drive, bought it from Makro, a reputable dealer (I would like to believe they are). Makro are owned by MassMart these days. (I live in South Africa). It is a SanDisk UltraFit USB 3.1 Flash drive. The rated speeds are up to 130MB/s on the packaging.

    I've rebooted the system now. Logging in via the shellinabox is much faster now. Before you answered I did uninstall that flash-drive utility, so it is no longer on the system.

    Sorry, I really am a noob. I will try again. Ithought it was one command. Before anybody responded on the forum, I managed to remove the flash memory utility, but it seems to have made no difference.

    Thank you. I will do so now. I've installed 'apt-get install sysstat', it worked fine.
    However, when I do 'df -h iostat 10' i get an error message:

    root@quincy:~# df -h iostat 10
    df: iostat: No such file or directory
    df: 10: No such file or directory

    SSH is slow, when loggin in and when typing commands. Also, the OMV web interface is almost dead now, it is so slow. I've rebooted the server and there seems to be no change after the reboot.

    I've noticed that suddenly the flash memory drive is red and almost full in the dashboard. Is this normal? I also notice that SSH is really slow to respond?

    I am trying to get Docker up and running. It has been installed (or so I think). I'm quite sure it did not ask me to "Apply" after "Save" the change of the "Ënable this plugin". I also do not see anything come up as I type "krusader" in the Docker search box.

    Update: Now I see "binxhex/arch-krusader". I select it but then get this elaborate error report:

    Error #0:OMV\Exception: Failed to read file '/tmp/bgstatustvc5NB' (size=0). in /usr/share/php/openmediavault/json/file.inc:207Stack trace:#0 /usr/share/php/openmediavault/json/file.inc(223): OMV\Json\File->getContents()#1 /usr/share/php/openmediavault/rpc/serviceabstract.inc(340): OMV\Json\File->read()#2 /usr/share/openmediavault/engined/rpc/docker.inc(262): OMV\Rpc\ServiceAbstract->finalizeBgProcStatus('/tmp/bgstatustv...', '', Object(OMV\Exception))#3 [internal function]: OMVRpcServiceDocker->pullImage(Array, Array)#4 /usr/share/php/openmediavault/rpc/serviceabstract.inc(123): call_user_func_array(Array, Array)#5 /usr/share/php/openmediavault/rpc/rpc.inc(86): OMV\Rpc\ServiceAbstract->callMethod('pullImage', Array, Array)#6 /usr/sbin/omv-engined(536): OMV\Rpc\Rpc::call('Docker', 'pullImage', Array, Array, 1)#7 {main}
