OK, so I have an old laptop running Linux Mint. I cranked it up and on the network I found "raspberrypi - SSH" and logged in using a username and password I had created using the OMV web interface. I then get a window with 22 folders named "bin", "boot"....."var". How do I get to a command line ?

My only access to OMV is currently through the web interface on a Windows10 laptop. How do I get to a command line / terminal ?

That has been the gist of stuff I have found by googling but...How would I change the root password ?

I recently created a NAS using a Raspberripi 4 running OMV in order to store and play all my music. It basically works but I am getting intermittent losses of connection which cause tracks to be cut short or skipped altogether.
The OMV System Log is creating multiple frequent (several times a minute) messages of the form "CRON[1234]: Authentication token is no longer valid; new one required". I don't know if these error messages are the cause of the connection failures but it seems a possibility and I would like to at least eliminate them from my enquiries. Can anyone tell me the cause and how to fix it ?
Thanks if you can help.

Thanks, that worked. I can write to the NAS now.

I have built a NAS using a 2GB Raspberrypi 4 running OMV. I can read files on the NAS from my Windows10 laptop but I cannot write to it. Windows says "Destination Folder Access Denied. You need permission to perform this action". Permission that presumably has to be granted by OMV ?
The shared folder on the NAS is set up in SMB/CIFS as "Only Guests"; Read Only - "No"; Browseable - "Yes".
There are no shared folder Privileges.
It may not be directly relevant but every 30s the OMV System Log says "CRON[nnnn]:Authentication token is no longer valid; new one required".
Many thanks to anyone who can help.
