Sorry for the confusion everyone, I should have checked the port first. It is NTP (see attached).
Although I have never heard of that particular NTP server. OMV is configured to used "pool.ntp.org" as is /etc/ntp.conf.
At this stage I"m not sure where the frigg this frigg.fancube.com is originating.
Also, someone mentioned the server may be hacked. It is installed in an isolated environment with no outside access. Also a fresh install as of 16:00 CST today.
I'm new to OMV and just completed my first install. I am seeing an intermittent outbound connection from the OMV server to the following domain:
frigg.fancube.com
Attached is a screen capture of iftop showing the connection.
All my searches turn up little information about this domain or why OMV would be contacting it. Anyone seen this before or have an info on the domain? I like to know who my server is talking to before putting data on it. Also, I have not installed any plugins yet, just the vanilla 4.1.3.0 version.
Possible NTP server?
