No, I install from the command line on the debian

    1 - echo "deb http://packages.openmediavault.org/public sardaukar main" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/openmediavault.list
    2 - apt-get update
    3 - apt-get install openmediavault-keyring postfix
    4 - apt-get update
    5 - apt-get install openmediavault
    6 - omv-initsystem

because the omv 0.5 doesnt have the driver for the hp g1610t nic, should I wait for the omv 0.6? I am using Windows 8.1 right now.

    Thanks

    openmediavault-processlist 0.5.6

How can I change these SUDO things?
    Thanks

sorry, but I don't know how it s doing sudo. I just try to install the plugin and the error comes, I don t write a command to install , I just go to the plugin and install the plugin.
This omv is above a debian backdoor , because I have a HP Gen8 G1610T and if I try to install the omv directly it doesn t install the nic, so I need to install a debian with the driver first and maybe it s because of that, how can I " not use sudo " to install a plugin ?

    Thanks / Danke

    Hi,

everytime I try to install a plugin I get this error and the plugin doesn t work, I already uninstall and install the entire omv twice but it still happens, what should I do?
    Thanks

Hello, here my config.xml, what should I change?

    Hello

I use three hdds, two of them I mounted without problems, but I can t get the last one to get mounted, omv shows that
The filesystem '/dev/disk/by-uuid/01CEFF2801605BF0' is already mounted

but the hdd is not mounted, it shows in filesystems MOUNTED NO.

I deleted the omv from the sdd, deleted the partition an installed it all again ( I need to install debian first to get the omv to work with the nic from the hp gen8 ) but it still shows the same error, what should I do?

    Thanks

Hi Thanks, but I formatted both hdds with the partition wizard on windows.

I cannot see my other hdd with samba on windows, I ve mounted it and created a shared folder , created a user, on bin/dash ( already tried sh, bash and so on )
gave all the rights that I could, but still can t see a folder on windows.

I already did it before on an VM ( Virtualbox ) and it worked at the first time, but now I think that because of the debian that I had to install before the OMV ( I have a HP Gen8 G1610T and the OMV doesn t have the driver for the nic) it s having trouble to see the user I created and thats why I can t use samba.

I think I will have to wait till the OMV 0.6, because it will come with the nic drive ( I hope ) and I can/could install it directly without having to put a/another debian first, in the meantime, I will try the win server 2012 r2. I am tired of losing day after day trying to make the things work on the OMV and the HP gen8.

Hi, since I made a raid mirror using the omv, with two 500gb HDDs, each one having ext4 partition, the omv doesn t automatically start anymore.
    The linux shows ; Raid1 ( which I gave the name ) : clean, 12/30531574 files, 19669048122096356 blocks
fsck died with exit status 8
    failed ( code 8 )
A maintenance shell will now be started

If I try to repair with fsck, it can´t. It shows, no such file or directory while trying to opne /dev/sdc1
The superblock could not be read or does not describe a correct ext2 filesystem

If I do control D, it starts the omv normally, But I cannot get my windows 7 to see the shared folders on samba, which I could with the omv 0.4 on VM before.

I don t know if it s ´cause a omv 0.5 problem, or this linux problem at the boot.

What should I do, delete the hdds with omv and make a new partition and mount or do this with the debian itself?

    Thanks

Thank you, yes I changed to static ip and forgot the dns
I think I ll use Ajaxplorer ( pydio ) or do you have a better file uploader in mind? :|
I could change the max file size, so now I can upload till 2Gb.
Sorry for the questions, that s all new for me, but I am starting to like linux ;)

Hello, I installed the debian again and now I can install the omv, cool.
    Next problem;
when I try to install the deb file openmediavault-omvextrasorg_0.5.15_all , it shows an error, I ve installed the unofficial plugin repo for the omv 0.5 on a VM before without a problem, is it because of the debian backdoor installation?

    I tried saudarkar too, but when give the command to install openmediavault, it shows something like this, but with several packages;

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
php5-memcached : Depends: libmemcached11 but it is not installable
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

Could you write a step by step on how to install the backdoor debian?
How to do the partition, I created a swap and a XFS, should I let it do automatically?
In the end of the installation, it asks what kernel you want to install, I took 3.2, should I take 2.0?

    Thanks

    Zitat von "ryecoaaron"

The 3.2 backports kernel may have a driver for it. Just install minimal debian squeeze from this image and then install OMV.

    Code
    1 - echo "deb http://packages.openmediavault.org/public fedaykin main" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/openmediavault.list
    2 - apt-get update
    3 - apt-get install openmediavault-keyring postfix
    4 - apt-get update
    5 - apt-get install openmediavault
    6 - omv-initsystem

I tried this on the Gen 8 G1610T , it install the debian, but when I try to install the OMV , it shows packages/files that OMV needs, but the system cannot install them. And I can install OMV
    What did I do wrong?
I created a partition for swap and another in XFS for the linux, and I took kernel 3.2 instead the 2.0.

    Thanks
