    Hi !

I have set a task in the antivirus plugin to check my file system once a week (3 different task - each for one share)

The problem is, that I get for each share every time the job is done 4-6 emails (don't know exactly). It looks like as the job is done more than one time ?

All of the mails I get on mondays in the early morning (beginning at 2 ... )

Is there a bug? Where can i search for the problem ?

    Hi!

I find the Odroid HC2 a very good idea for creating a small, energy saving NAS device.

    Now to my question:

The Case is designed as stackable device. This means i can e.g. buy 2 or 4 of the HC2 devices and equip them with harddisks.

Do i have to install omv on each of the devices ?

How can i manage to access to all the data on the disks from one central point / interface ?

How do you do that ?

    Thank you in advance.

I think this should be the values ... in the beginning this values were at 100% when it was new respectively the first year of use.

    Hi !

Ok Thank you. I ordered a Kingston SSD UV400 now.

My system SSD is a very cheap pSandisk ... according smart Information it has now 36000 hours and still 90% of life.

So that is really good I think.

Hope the new one is as good as the old one.

    Greets Karl

is it important which one ?

Are there any criteria to choose ?

The real enterprise SSD are much to expensive.

I have a small system SSD (Sandisk) since 3 or 4 years running without problems.

    Hi !

At the moment i have an old 500 GB WD hard drive for my virtual machines in OMV running mailserver and nextcloud server.

The HDD now has 30000 power on hours and at the moment i get smart errors, but the drive is still working.

But i think i have to replace it soon.

I don't need many space, which means that at least 200-250 gb would be enough.

Would you buy another HDD (which one ?) or would you go to a 250 GB SSD ?

The server is on 24/7 and the drive is backed up every night.

    Thank you for your replys

    Greets Karl

    I now checked the situation.

For my backup every night the share of my diskstation is availble when it is started. So there are no problems except the errors in the gui.

But what happens if I restart the OMV and the diskstation is offline? I think it does not mount the DS when it is started, right ?

This is also the same when i put it into the fstab manually i think ?

    Greets Karl

the problem appeared when I installed/used the remotes hare plugin. WIth offline USB drives there is no error message.

Is autofs available as plugin ?

Or can i just put the drives into the fstab ?

    Hi!

I have mounted 2 shares from my synology diskstation for backup-purposes with rsync. This all works fine.

After the backup the DS is shut down for saving energy.

The problem is, that after the shares of the DS are gone i get error messages when i try to access the file system tab "Dateisysteme" in the web gui.

after several of the picture above i get this message (what I already knew)

Is there an option to avoid this problem or just to let the shares be offline ... ?

Or is there another way to mount the shares of an external server. I do not want to use rsync via ssh due to lower performance.

    Greats Karl

    Hi !

I made a new installation of OMV3 to upgrade my machine from OMV2.

at the beginning i started with DHCP (made several settings) and now wanted to go back to my old static IP.

The problem is, that when i change to a static IP i get problems with the vbox plugin and also i get some error messages in the UI.

How can i go back to my old IP-adress ?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hallo,

    Hi !

I want to update from OMV 2.0 to 3.0 the next days. With the normal way via console i had a crash some time ago (i think the issue was virtualbox).

So i decided to make a clean install of omv 3.0 and reconfigure it.

How can I do that the easiest way?

Is there a file where all the config is in, that i e.g. can print out and just put everything in again or you can i "copy" the config the easiest way ?

    Thank you in advance.

    Greats Karl

i went back to OMV2 ... good to have a backup.

I think i have to make screenshots of my configuration and prepare a fresh install.

I tried to download the ISO for OMV 3.... but i did not success. Is there a server error or how to do ?
