Hi, I think that's exactly what I mean. I have a similar scenario and since all your devices are in the same IP network I think that a bridge is exactly what you need! greetings

Hi,
if I understand it correctly, you should set up a bridge between the two network cards, since you want to use the same IP network.
I myself did it according to the following instructions.

Hallom
did you set the "save DOS attributes" property in the Samba share?

Hi,
I also had to set up a bridge for me and did it according to the following instructions ... that worked for me!

Hi!
thank you for this workaround!

Hi,
I simply attached an external SSD as a system drive to one of the USB3 ports on my TS-869Pro and then booted from an OMV installation USB stick, installed OMV and it worked!

Hi,
try to give the user or group the right to execute. I think this right is needed to see the contents of the directories. Hope I don't tell anything wrong, but I think I read it in a different context.

Hello community
I have a problem deleting a "shared folder" on my OMV5 5.4.5.-1. The folder is not referenced but when I try to delete it I get the following error message.

many thanks!

Hi,
that is very little information in my opinion. what kind of SAS controller is it? are the connected drives recognized when booting?
Please give us some more information so that we can maybe help!

Hello Volker,
I am very sorry, but my knowledge is far from sufficient to make any changes in the github etc. I'm just starting with OMV and I'm very impressed with your work and I'm also very grateful. I only had one personal request and searched for a long time to find the appropriate file and just wanted to share my solution / idea.

Hey
the changes described unfortunately have to be made again after each update, since the corresponding file will probably be overwritten.

Hi,
I've come a little further. I did a bonding / broadcast on the OMV5 server with the dual nic. Now the two servers can communicate with each other.
Unfortunately I still have the problem that I only get from the Win10 PC to the OMV5 server with the Dual Nic but no further to the backup server.
It is also not possible to ping the Win10 PC from either server.
Would be grateful for any help!

Hello community,
I have a little problem and hope for Euro help.
I have the following network configuration:
Win10 PC:
1 gb Nic: 192.168.178.150
10 gb Nic: 192.168.179.150
OMV5 server:
1 gb Nic: 192.168.178.50
10 gb Dualport Nic: 192.168.179.50 and 192.168.179.51
OMV5 Backup Server:
1 gb Nic: 192.168.178.60
10 gb Nic: 192.168.179.60
the 1 GB network is my standard network and the 10 GB network should only be used for data transfer between the 3 computers.
I can now ping the OMV server from the Win10 PC to IP ... 179.50 and ... 179.51. and Samba on this way is also running with 10gb speed
But I cannot ping to the backup server and the ping from the server to the backup server and vice versa does not work.
Also I cannot ping from omv5 Server to Win10 PC ... Here I can not understand why it goes in one direction and not in the other?
All computers are wired with DAC cables. So from Win10 PC to port 1 of the OMV5 server and from port 2 of the OMV5 server to the OMV5 backup server.
I hope I could explain my problem plausibly and hope for your help!

Hi,
try another PCI-e port for the hba card. I had a similar problem and for me the reason was that the onboard lan shared the interrupt with the pci-e port used.

Hello,
after a long search I have now found the solution myself. For everybody who's interested:
edit the following file:
/usr/share/php/openmediavault/controlpanel/controlpanelabstract.inc
almost at the end of the file there is the function getTitle () in which the <title> tag of the page is fetched. Here you can make changes so I have e.g. the lines
$ title = sprintf ("% s% s", $ prd-> getName (), gettext ("control panel"));
$ title = sprintf ("% s -% s", $ title, $ fqdn);
commented out and the line
$ title = $ fqdn;
inserted.
As a result, the page in the browser only has the name of the server as <title>.

Hello,
I have the same problem. Even if I activate WLAN in the WebGUI, it remains from Ethtool Wack-on: d
I've also done an omv-firstaid, unfortunately without success.
if I activate wake-on with ethtool -s it works once, but after restart it is back on wake-on: d
I have a Realtek onboard NIC.
more suggestions?
