Thanks for the answer, I didn't enable the unstable repository so I didn't see the Shellinabox plugin. Maybe I will give it a try...

Hello,
I am running OMV 2.1.20 and I am interested whether I can run a command I would run on a terminal/ssh session directly from the webinterface. Is this even possible?
Thank you

Hello,
Psensor has an integrated webserver that shows all the temperatures, voltages, fan speeds of lm-sensors on a webpage. Maybe the Extplorer plugin could be adapted to show the psensor-server html page inside openmediavault?
http://wpitchoune.net/blog/psensor/remote-monitoring/
Additional info: I am compiling a newer version of psensors because the one shipped with Debian Wheezy is quite old and shows nothing on my systems (even though sensors shows all of them on the terminal).

I simply got the latest Virtualbox 4.3 *.deb from http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/4.3.34/ and installed it manually including the new extension pack. If OMV goes to Jessie sometime in the future, Virtualbox would have to be updated to 5.0 anyway, because there are no official packages of 4.3 for this release anymore.

Until we figure out a solution to purging 4.3 and a few other files before installing 5.0, I won't put the plugin in the repo. For now, you can use this script to install it.
Thanks for your answer, I think I can wait until then.

Hello,
now that Virtualbox 5.0 and Phpvirtualbox 5.0 as well are out it would be great to have a plugin for them. It is already in the Github repository, but not available as a *.deb file (still stuck at 4.3).

(
[message:protected] => Could not connect to host (http://127.0.0.1:18083/)That looks like as the Virtualbox Webservice isn't running. I if that happens I usually start it using this command:

Thanks for the help, I already saw this, but if I set authentification to "external", my credentials (root account/newly created user) won't work and I get a "TCP: Close" message. I didn't find anything in the logs either. I will try Simple Authentification and see if this works. Would be great if it gets implemented though.

Hello,
I am running OMV 0.5.30 and Virtualbox 4.3.6, everything is set up, now I would like to use authentification for the RDP connection, because no authentification is not the best idea security-wise. I already tried external authentification, my authentification library is set to VBoxAuth.so. but if I try to connect (with root credentials), I get a disconnect. Authentification set to "none" works as expected.
Is there some tutorial on how to set up RDP authentification in OMV/Virtualbox or is there a possibility to integrate it into the plugin?
EDIT: There is a possible solution posted at https://code.google.com/p/phpvirtualbox/issues/detail?id=510, I didn't try it yet, but maybe it could be integrated into the plugin?
Thank you

Hello,
now it works after reinstalling the packages "openmediavault-virtualbox Ver. 0.5.13" and "virtualbox-4.3". I also found a small bug in openmediavault-virtualbox: if there is already a downloaded extension pack in /tmp the script hangs. If you delete everything in /tmp, it works well. Problem seems to be that the script downloads a new extension pack file everytime and names it *.2, *.3 and so on.
Thanks

Hello,
I upgraded recently from Virtualbox 4.2 to 4.3.6 on Openmediavault 0.5 , but now I have no remote control option anymore in the Phpvirtualbox menu. I choose Openmediavault precisely over other NAS solutions for this feature. If this is some serious problem I wouldn't upgrade to 4.3 right now.
Here are some screenshots:
Thanks
