Nervermind this problem, i detected other glitches and i decided to make a clean install of OMV5 instead of fixing every bug found.

Now everything is really working great !

Hello,

I upgraded from OMV 4 to OMV 5. Everything seems to works except the FTP service.

When i log on the web GUI, there is both "green and red dot" in front of the FTP service. If i try to disable and re-enable the service, it does not change anything.

Logged in the CLI, i can see the proftpd service does not start properly typing servicectl start proftpd.

Asking for more detail with systemctl status proftpd.service show this :

groups admin

displayed no openmediavault-admin user. Actually openmediavault-admin was not existing so i entered

adduser openmediavault-admin
usermod -a -G openmediavault-admin admin

and now everything is working ! Thank you very much !

Hi,

I use OMV for years and went through different upgrade successfully. Today i tried upgrading from 4 to 5 using these directions : RE: OMV 5.0 - finally out! :-)

Everything seems ok, no scary error message, my shared folders are still visible from my LAN but i'm not able anymore to login on the web interface anymore.

My SSH root access is still working. I tried omv-firstaid to change my password, checked my disk space... Everything seems to be ok but my web access is still broken...

Any idea is more than welcome
