  • Shared folder error after add union filesystems

    It seems to create these temp files in /etc/openmediavault/.
    I removed 1, and created a new remote share (just to provoke something to reapply settings) and got the same error.
    Now I am seeing 3 config.xml.0001, 0002, 0003 files..


    config.xml config.xml.0002 php.ini
    config.bak config.xml.0001 config.xml.0003


    reverting in GUI doesn't remove the remote mount and doesn't remove the temp files in the dir.

  • rsync subfolder of share ?

    So.. just upgraded my eol omv3 to omv4.


    I had a bunch of rsync jobs setup to push data.
    It worked like a charm.


    I pushed subfolders of a share to another omv installation.
    But I didn't not down my config... big mistake.


    Now I am trying to remember how I got rsync to only sync subfolders of a share and I cannot remember..


    Any clues...? No matter what I do to the source shared folder entry it just reverts back to the main share...

  • ssh & rsync between 2 OMV in different locations

    I'm struggling a bit trying to get ssh & rsync to work over WAN.


    I have access to both devices via VPN on the routers but the transfer rate is SH!t so I'd like to try something else.


    I've trying creating an ssh key and manually copy it to the receiver but no matter what I try I keep getting the following error:


    1. if I try to copy the key I generated on sender (which I added to the user as well) I get this error:

  • Help - Connect two OMV boxes - home address and office

    Hi


    is it possible, via the openVPN plugin or similar to connect two OMV boxes?


    I'd prefer that one isn't forced to route all traffic through the other.


    I've just started looking into this and installed the openVPN plugin on one of the boxes.


    Installing openVPN on a Win client and downloading the cert and I can connect but everything is being routed through the OMV box. the routing isn't a showstopper yet but I need some help getting the 2nd box setup as a client.


    Is there a way to do this?

    Would it be possible to either add an "extra arguments" variable or alternatively add stuff like:


    SYNC_WARN_THRESHOLD and other snapraid options?

    I don't need to run it daily.. just set it as a prelim. test.


    MergerFS looks at your rules and applies it so in theory it can fill up 1 drive without touching the others.


    I use 'existing path, least free space' and apply the following arguments:
