Great! Now it works fine.
@ryecoaaron: Thanks to you, this night, for the first time, I am backuping a W10 disk on a drive mount on a Raspberry 2 through OMV+Remote-mount+ Rsync.

I will test it and tell you what is going on.
When I try to delete the remote-mounted drive I get :
and /var/log/syslog says:

I'm hoping you are checking the fstab checkbox for testing purposes : )
I do!!

New version uploaded to same place. Not going to look at it again today though : )
Many thanks for the new upload. I got the new version. Now I can get the config "stored" but not "validated". Here is the error message.
I can manually mount the filesystem.

Uploaded new version to the same path.
Thanks for the new version. I installed the .deb file (sudo dpkg --install openmediavault-remotemount_6.0_all.deb). Unfortunately after trying to mount a remote dir, I got the same message "The property fstab" does not exist in the model conf.service.remotemount.mount".

Many thanks!
Now I get the Remote-Mount page but when creating a remote mount I get a 500 error and the following message: the propoert 'fstab" does not existe in the model conf.service.remotemount.mount.

I just installed the remote-mount package. Unfortunately thru the OMW interfaceI get the red "Software failure - 404" message when clicling on Remote Mount. Is there a way to use a kind of debug mode in order to understand what is going wrong?
fx
PS : I had a look at log files (fxtv@GariPI:/var/log/nginx $ sudo tail -f openmediavault-webgui_error.log) but I cannot see any 404 trace in them.

Thnaks. Yep I can use OMB/Samba + Robocopy but I am much more confortable not depending on W10 ;-). Another reason is that I have another drive attached to a Linux (Roon) machine to backup. I would prefer to have one unified solution...

Dear Ryecoaaron,
I understand your point. If you need a beta-tester I am yours!
BTW is there an alternative to the RM-Plugin to use the OMV Rsynv feature to backup W10 files? I mean using OMV.

Reading the July post I understand porting the Remote-Mount plugin up to OMV6 is in progress. Do you have a ETA ??! Is it a matter of days, weeks or months ? In the latter case, I will downgrade OMV to 5.
Many thanks for providing the plugin .
