Thanks Both for your extremely constructive and helpful advice.

NextCLoud is running in a standard Proxmox VM (LXC poses quite a few challenges, and I didn't want to go down that rathole!)

Take care, enjoy the weekend :)

No idea. I don't use whatever app that is. I always test in a browser. http or https is determined by the OMV web interface. If you access OMV via http, then webdav will be http. Same for https. Do you have OMV on a non-standard port?

Its a standard install. No Port.

weirdly, I tried what you suggested in the browser.. Got a response once I authenticated..

So, its something to do with the way I am configuring NextCloud (And Windows)

Just tried Windows again. still no go.

But, NextCloud just jumped into life:

I have permission issues now as I cant seem to add or modify, but its 90% more progress!!

The permission issue has always been my nemesis tbh. Could you possibly advise on how to set the correct permissions? I suspect nextcloud uses a user www-data and www-data as a group.

    Nope.

Tried windows and NextCloud. Am I configuring it correctly?

Actually, not even too sure where to look for the logs on OMV (or NExtcloud for that matter)

    Thanks, the OMV7 upgrade worked

Apologies for the really stupid questions now.. I cant seem to get anything to work

    I have:

    * Created a new shared Directory

    * Webdav linked this

    * Added myself to the webdav-users group

    * rebooted OMV

I can't see anywhere else I need to configure.

So, tried accessing this from nextcloud. I tried all parameters, but no joy

I tried accessing from windows laptop (map network drive \\192.168.0.10\Test and \\192.168.0.10\webdav). Also no joy.

Is there anything else I need to enable or configure?

Hi. I stumbled across this thread, as I have a requirement for WebDAV as well. I installed nextcloud, and just discovered that mounting NFS Shares (which are managed by OMV - Sourced by Proxmox Ceph) within NextCloud works, but will result in tears as I also tend to modify files outside of the NextCloud ecosystem (SMB Windows for example)

I was told that WebDav is the way to go

So, assuming I now need to stand up a webdav server, I have two choices. Use the plugin, or find some other way to stand this up (Docker container?)

I cant for the life of me find the plugin from the OMV-EXtras Tab.. Is there a cunning trick to this?

OMV expects real/virtualized disks (shocking since it is a NAS). LXC doesn't provide those.

Yea, think I just ran into that issue (as above). I 'think' I just discovered a workaround (the link), but need more time to figure it out.

    Hi everyone

Having just completed an LXC install on proxmox for OMV, it's working.. But, I can't seem to pass any shared pool storage to OMV.

How on earth do I do this, please? The whole point behind this shared pool storage (ceph incidentally) is it's available across many containers.

I have gone as far as to setup a mount point (mp0)

    thanks

Thanks. All Installed. It didnt complain, so assume the share is ok.

Tried to set this up on the Portainer side ; JellyFin container. Still get 500 error...

I set this up as a Volume:

Must have messed something up but cant figure out what..

Hi all. Sorry to open this one up again, please feel free to suggest I open up my own topic. I have a VERY similar issue, but slightly different arrangement (I think)

I have a separate OMV server hosting a file share, and am trying to access this from Portainer (specifically a JellyFin container as well)

I dont think this will work (well, it doesnt!), as (somewhere) I will need to provide an IP Address, and need to provide credentials somewhere?

I suspect this will require a Volume creating somehow (I tried and failed miserably many times assuming this was the way to go)

    Any words of advice?

    thanks
