have you installed it as it done in this howto (http://sourceforge.net/apps/ph…t/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=386)? if no, please do it, if yes reinstall it.
I had the same problem, but after the second install it works fine.

The important thing to do is:
- make a new script in /etc/init.d with the name "plexmediaserver" and paste the whole code below into it.
- make a chmod +x /etc/init.d/plexmediaserver
- make a "update-rc.d plexmediaserver enable"Code
