Hi everybody.

Tonight I finally got OMV up and running after some hick-ups and already I'm running into another problem.

As I'm setting up accounts for the family (wife and kids) I like to test what they see and what they can do because I'm new to this and don't understand everything yet.

So on my Windows 11 system I can see the 2 drives I assigned to myself......but now I want to login with the account of my wife to see if the settings I've put into OMV are correct.
But how am I going to logout of the network location (PiNAS) as me and get to logon as my wife?

I found a solution on the Pi forum:

sudo apt update

sudo apt full-upgrade

sudo apt --fix-broken install

sudo apt autoremove

I don't know if the last 2 lines were necessary but I did them anyway.

It's now busy with the install. Preinstall got no errors and the install already takes longer then before with the errors.

So...so far so good!

That also is having problems with missing files and errors indeed.

But that should be.....The Pi OS is fresh installed...verified...booted using a LAN cable not wifi...and I can connect to it via Windows terminal or Putty.
I then can do sudo apt-get update and after that sudo apt-get upgrade -y

I've done that twice now.....still the same outcome.
I've also formatted and re-imaged the micro SD card on a different computer....still the same result.

Can I also put the image of OMV on the sd card via the Etcher tool without the need of the Raspberry Pi OS?

I'm Mike and I'm new to the world of OMV. I've had a Synology 107+ voor a few years until it got to old and back then I didn't realy needed it.

These days my kids want to have an easy solution for getting there photos from there phones and to keep them save. The same goes for there homework.

I also would like a place for my 3D models to be stored before sending them to the 3D printer.

I have a Raspberry Pi 4B here with a 16 gb micro SD card running Raspberry Pi OS Lite (64-BIT).

I bought 2 512gb Sandisk Ultra Fit usb sticks that I want to use for storage.
But for some reason I can't get OMV to be installed on the Pi. And it already starts when installing the preinstall of OMV.

I get al kind of errors! errors like below:

I've been reinstalling the Pi OS Lite over and over again. Updating it...reboting...installing OMV...but it always fails.

Can somebody point me in the right direction to solve this?
