    hello,

many thanks for the great work. been an OMV user for quite some years now, this is the 4th system it is running on (first an old x86_64 dekstop, then an hp microserver, then an odroid hc, now a old HP Xeon Workstation). very happy.

I'm using it for more and more, as you can see in my long term usage. (it's a 2x 8 core - so 16 threads):

I upgraded yesterday ... went well. Also my docker's are running again (opencloud, home assistant, vaultwarden, ...)

Allmost all worked immeadeately, I manually needed to:

    - add my (manually added) php-fpm back into the pool.d (since the php update)

    - reinstall some python (pip3 or pipx) programs (subliminal for subitles and motioneye for my cctv)

then the problems I still have:

    - I revcieve a lot of mails from OMV converning my UPS, I have thje NUT-plugin installed. I got a message communicon is lost, a few seconds later connection restored, ... and so on

    - collectd "does not exists" and some seconds later "exists" or "execution failed" as you can see in this

    but they solved themselves?

Dont know how - but thank you for the great work

thank you for the swift reply, but .....

    hello

very happy user since a few years. First on an HP microserver, afterwards on an Odroid HC, now on an (older) HP workstation, with a lot of cpu power (what I was missing on the odroid :) )

trying to upgrade my installation, so I have the new php (so I can upgrade my nextcloud an ampache).

    root@Z800:~# omv-release-upgrade

Upgrading system to 7.0 (Sandworm) ...

This system is running a desktop environment! This setup is not supported.

I get this 'error' ... it i strue I had an X isntallaton, with a xfce instllation that I reached over vnc (it a headless server) an I stop and start this. Now - I understand you want no issues with this (and it would be better to do this is a virtual machine or docker or something, but didnt take the time to fiddle with it.

I tried to remove all the X tings (x11 , ldxe , xfce, ...) but it is still giving me this problem.

what packages (?) is the omv-release-upgrade looking for? so I can really remove them all.

    thank you!

    edit:

    I commented out

    fastcgi_param PHP_ADMIN_VALUE session.cookie_secure=On;

    in

    /etc/nginx/sites-enabled/openmediavault-webgui

    and that solved things...

Maybe the 'omv-firstaid' should comment that out when doing 'Configure web control panel' and not choosing HTTPS/SSL.

    solved!

    Hello everybody

Ive been using OMV for some years now. First on x86, now on arm.

I have a login loop since a day and can’t get rid of it.

    24gb free space on /

    Tried clearing cache

    Tried incognito on iphone’s safari

    Tried duckduckgo on my iphone

Tried “chmod 777 /var/lib/php/sessions/” (i am using sd disk)

I recieve an email from omv that someone logged in from <ip> on the system.

    hello

I'm trying to setup the usb backup extension. And I want to make a shared folder to sync.

but I cant make it - I recieve an errror when I click the '+' (add) button:

    here you are

can I manually clear that cache?

can't I just dd this to a new sd card?

    hi all

I succesfully upgraded... but I'm expierencing stability issues.

before (omv5) it ran for weeks and months .... now it crashes after a few days, but cant find the errors.

only solution for me is hard power reset (unplugging and plugging power)

can someone guide me where I can find a log of what happened? the OS is on a sd card, so the flash-addon is installed
