    THX jhmiller!
Forcing package work! But its a tricky way cause if you don't install amule from official repo before, you don't have configuration files installed for amule 2.3.1, neither amule-common.
It could be simple to know how i can give higer priority to added repo or give them automatically higher priority like in omv 0.4!

As you can read, the candidate installable version for amule is 2.2.6 from official squeeze repo, not 2.3.1 from vollstreckernet!
So it's impossible to install amule from alternative repo cause its lower priority of 990!
And i can't change vollstreckernet repo priority in any ways!
i think it's the same for other alternative repo.

I tried several time to solve this issue...in many ways... but everything fails.
I don't know how is related to omv 0.5, but in 0.4 the repository added in /etc/apt/sources.list has higher priority like i wrote in the previous post.
I tried to give higher priority to amule repo but nothing work.
So, there someone who know how i can do to install packages from my favourites repo?

    Just a minute!
I tried to install amule 2.3.1 on OMV 0.4 virtualized and IT WORK!
this is the output for apt-get cache policy:

    Code
    amule-daemon:
      Installato: (nessuno)
      Candidato: 2.3.1+svn-r10806-1stable1
      Tabella versione:
         2.3.1+svn-r10806-1stable1 0
            990 http://www.vollstreckernet.de/debian/ stable/amule amd64 Packages
         2.3.1-1stable1 0
            990 http://www.vollstreckernet.de/debian/ stable/amule-stable amd64 Packages
         2.2.6+debian0-8 0
            500 http://ftp.it.debian.org/debian/ squeeze/main amd64 Packages

There's somethig wrong in omv 0.5 that prevents repository policy??

    I can install amule-common with: apt-get install amule-common=2.3.1-1stable1
But not amule-daemon for unsatisfied dependencies...

    Code
I seguenti pacchetti hanno dipendenze non soddisfatte:
     amule-daemon : Dipende: libwxbase2.8-0 (>= 2.8.12) ma la versione 2.8.10.1-3+b1 sta per essere installata
Dipende: amule-i18n-en-gb (= 2.3.1-1stable1) ma non sta per essere installato oppure amule-i18n
    E: Pacchetti danneggiati

    Anyway, thx for your help!

    Sure i did!
this is the output from apt-cache policy amule-common:

    Code
    amule-common:
      Installato: (nessuno)
      Candidato: 2.2.6+debian0-8
      Tabella versione:
         2.3.1+svn-r10806-1stable1 0
            500 http://www.vollstreckernet.de/debian/ stable/amule amd64 Packages
         2.3.1-1stable1 0
            500 http://www.vollstreckernet.de/debian/ stable/amule-stable amd64 Packages
         2.2.6+debian0-8 0
            990 http://ftp.it.debian.org/debian/ squeeze/main amd64 Packages

I'm waiting some guru to create plugin since from first release of OMV.
Anyway i used amule-daemon 2.3.1 64bit from vollstreckernet unofficial repo succesfully until the upgrade to OMV 0.5
I've done a CLEAN installation, then added amule repo (like in omv 0.4) deb http://www.vollstreckernet.de/debian/ stable amule amule-stable isbg wx
but when i try to install amule-daemon i can't get 2.3.1 version but only the 2.2.6 from official repo.
There something different in OMV 0.5 that prevents me to install desired version?
Maybe someone can help me to pin this specific package in apt preferences?
    thx

You did not say that you tried the apt-get -f install.

Yes I already ran this command before and aften purging packages! No errors!

I try to see if you have dependency issue before
    installing plugin.

the dependency issue, looking at the installation log, depends on openmediavault-virtualbox and it's normal cause virtualbox-4.2 package was not properly installed.

I guess the issue is related to virtualboxweb service:

    Code
invoke-rc.d: initscript vboxweb-service, action "start" failed

However, the result is the same here.

    Hi tekkbebe!
    Plugins repo is OK.
Unfortunately the plugin is not checked installed also if it's present in the side-bar, so i used command-line to uninstall with dpkg --purge.
Then i tried to re-install the plugin again... it fails!

    Hello folks!
I read all virtualbox related post on this forum but i can't find a solution to my issue.
My system runs OMV 0.4.15 64bit
Virtualbox intallation fail with this error:

and if i try to reconfigure the package (dpkg --configure)

    Code
    Stopping VirtualBox kernel modules:
    Message from syslogd@MyServer at Jan 20 13:43:54 ...
     kernel:[ 480.775137] RTSpinlockReleaseNoInts: ffff880037882850 (magic=0x19480428)
    .
    Starting VirtualBox kernel modules:.
    Starting VirtualBox web service:
     failed!
invoke-rc.d: initscript vboxweb-service, action "start" failed.

How can i fix this???? I can't reinstall omv AGAIN!

    [quote="lucchi90"]try with

    Code
    sudo apt-get install mercurial build-essential linux-image-`uname -r` linux-headers-`uname -r` libdigest-sha1-perl make gcc git patch patchutils libproc-processtable-perl

Stalling... if i try to install this packages the result is "packages damaged" and also many dependencies are not satisfied with error "packages not found"
I had installed only omv 3.0 64bit from installation build (not an upgrade) and amule. nothing more...

    Hello folks!
I need some help cause after upgrade to OMV 3.0 i lost drivers for my dvb card so nothing appear in in tvheadend/adapters web interface.
This is because Video for Linux is no more supported in this version of OMV.
So i tried to compile V4L as described in the main site but when i try do download the necessary packages to compile (build-essential module-assistant mercurial...), i had an error like this: "some packages cannot be installed...impossible request..." (translating from italian) "
So, are you playing tvheadend on OMV 3.0? In this case, may i have some help how to install video drivers on this release?
Thank to all!!! this make me crazy....
