I would certainly hope so! My NAS uses no more than 100W (idles at 30W) and it has 6 HDDs, two SSDs and a 6 core AMD CPU.
i'll measure the thing sometime and post the numbers here

The links are going to Amazon but I bought the stuff a various shops, therefore the prices are also not the same as in Amazon.
This thing is now running 24/7 since two years.
I already started my build two years ago, but here are some pictures.
I had before two WD 2TB (WD2000FYYZ) inside, but recently one of them died and I switched the RAID to two 4 TB Seagate NAS (ST4000VN000)
I'm running OpenMediaVault 2.x and a seperate Apache installation for OwnCloud 8.x.
The cube is sitting behind my cable provider modem and is accessible via URL.
Also I have connected the TV and running XBMC. When OpenMediaVault 3.x is out i'll switch to the newer Kodi builds.
The processor is a Celeron quad core. The complete package uses less than 100 W, but I did not measure the correct numbers.
after swapping my RAID to new HDDs i also have the rrdcached 100% on one CPU. My version is 2.1.29.
Hey guys,
i'm facing the annoying problem that i have a hourly cronjob that i added manually to the crontab and omv is sending every hour a mail about the result of this.
Is there any easy way to deactivate this?
cheers
Hey guys,
i have an OMV installation (2.1.15) on a home server together with an separate installation of OwnCloud (8.1.3).
The reason why i'm not using the plugin for owncloud is that the current version is outdated and the sqllite DB is painfully slow.
Anyway, according to the OwnCloud manual, i wanted to improve performance on my server --> https://doc.owncloud.org/serve…r/performance_tuning.html
The needed module is in nginx-extras included.
So my first thought was just to install nginx-extras instead of nginx-full. BUT, if i apt-get this, the the dependencies want to remove OMV... crap.
sry for German:
root@omv:/opt# apt-get install nginx-extras

Is there any solution for that, or do i have to screw up dpkg completely to solve this?
On the other hand, is it possible to insert nginx-extras as an optional package instead of nginx-full?
Best
