    Hi Everyone,

So i just installed the transmission plugin for OMV and added a torrent just so i can test the connection. It started to find the peers, connected to them downloaded for a few seconds and then stopped. I was then given the attached error message. I also noticed that nothing was created in the incomplete folder i set up - so i'm not too sure where exactly the incomplete files are being kept. Not too sure what to do so that it works.

I created a transmission group and added myself and the debian-tranmission user to the group and enabled the read write privileges for the download folder but i don't think this changed anything.

    Thanks

    Thanks for the suggestion.

I double checked the boot device and unplugged all of the other SATA ports so that the only thing plugged in was the USB SSD and it still goes to the same screen. I'm not sure about the usb drive not being ready at boot since it was booting fine from it previously.

    Any other suggestions?

Also what are your thoughts on installing OMV to a usb and having a back up of it? I understand its not ideal due to read/write volumes, but if the ssd route doesn't work then o'm not too sure what else do.

    Hi Everyone,

I just installed OMV onto a SSD using the SATA ports on my motherboard, since the installer wouldn't let me install GRUB onto the SSD when it was in the enclosure. Anyway after it was installed i moved it to the enclosure, installed a few plugins and configured OMV a bit. After all of that i wanted to back up the system drive, which i did using this post. Instead of it booting back into OMV it booted into GNU GRUB, which i'm not sure how to get out of. When i moved the SSD back to a SATA port OMV booted up fine. So i'm not too sure whats going on.

Also as a last resort option, would it be a good idea to just install OMV onto a USB and then create a clone of it with clonezilla and restore it if necessary if the external USB SSD strategy doesn't work out?

    Thanks guys.

    Hi Everyone,

Hoping someone may be able to help me out, since i think i'm starting to lose my mind.

I recently setup OMV installed, created an AUFS share and set up snapraid on 3 disks with content and 1 parity disk.

OMV at this point was installed on an SSD connected through a sata port, i then moved that SSD to an external usb enclosure so that i could free up a sata port. Long story short it didn't boot from the usb enclosure and i reinstalled OMV onto the SSD, which i probably shouldn't have done.

I then set up OMV again with snapraid and AUFS and added another parity disk. However since i reinstalled OMV i had to rename the disks since they changed, which i did through the CLI. After i did that snapraid no longer recognised the content files i had on them before and wouldn't sync. I also noticed that there's another file system with a missing status?

Is there a way to delete all of the snapraid information (content and parity) and re-do it all?

I've also attached a picture with the other missing file system.

    Thanks guys.
