I tried to install debian on that disk but as far as i was able to install debian 8.x I was not able to install 7.9 wheezy on my hp t7530 terminal from USB,
it still keeps telling me to insert CD with needed files...

so i can't just make 2 partitions and on one put the system and on the second the data?

Hi,

I'm new in linux based systems and i want to use omv one one hdd.

As i know by now, i cannot make it work by the omv installer,
I need to make a two partitions before install omv.

- is there a windows program that i can use to make those? if not any easy to use ( non command line, more like a graphic one ) program ?
- what type of partition it needs to be for system and data? ( can i use ntfs for data partition? )
