So which is the best solution for raspPi/ banaPi for imaging if you want the sd card in the slot of the Pi? Can you simple use the dd command and make an image to a usb stick?

Guess I found the failure - seems that clonezilla is not working on arm Systems?

I installed Backup for OMV but when I opened the Backup Section I can only choose

- PhotoRec
- Extundelete
or - Systembackup

For a really short time i can see all buttons incl. Clonezilla but after some milliseconds they are gone and only the three left.
Where is my failure?

back again with a rtc working on my banana pi. You can follow the steps of the guide.
The rtc-ds1307 is implemented in the kernel when you use OMV 2.x or higher, see this doku:

to enable i2c and spi

@tekkb What exactly do you mean by that? I didn´t get it... I have ordered a RTC Module on Ebay and hope to get it working on the BPi. The seller told me it is fully compatible to raspberry, orange or banana Pi...

I followed the steps through the installation routine. Thank you for your work! First of all, is it allowed to asked for help directly in this how-to? If not please tell me so that i can delete it and reopen it somewhere elese...

I have three questions, i will start with the first one:

1) I noticed that my BananaPi with openmediavault 2.2.3 can´t start seafile 5.1.2 automatically. I always have to start it manually.

Hallo und guten Tag,

dies ist einer meiner ersten Posts hier im Forum. Ich habe OMV auf meinem System erfolgreich installiert. Bis vor einigen Tage lief darauf Windows 10 ohne Probleme.

Das System besteht aus einem Intel Prozessor Q9300, einem Asus p5q pro Board, 6 GB Ram und 3*2 TB Sata HDD. Systemfestplatte ist mittlerweile ein 16 GB Disk on Module am IDE Steckplatz.

Installation von OMV 2.1 verlief problemlos, update auf 2.2.3 ebenso. Keine weiteren Plugins derzeit installiert, da ich an einem grundlegenden Problem scheitere:

Der Rechner macht kein Poweroff bei einem shutdown und damit bleibt er auch bei einem reboot hängen mit einem killed Hinweis als vorletztes auf dem Monitor.

Direkt am Server kann ich als letzten Eintrag sehen, dass frei wiedergegeben mdadm-waitidle einen failure hat.

Die Logs finde ich in /var/log/ ? Welche muss ich hier posten um mein Problem besser anzeigen zu können? Welche Ausgaben kann ich hier noch posten?

Unter Windows 10 ging ein Shutdown/Reboot/Bereitschaft problemlos.

Würde mich über Hilfe freuen!

Ich habe im Netz einen Artikel gefunden, der genau diesen Fehler beschreibt. Hier wird geraten, die Bootreihenfolge so zu ändern, dass die Zielfestplatte zuerst eingestellt wird. Dann jedoch bootet mein Rechner nicht mehr und versucht von dem Microdrive zu starten und bleibt stehen... Hat jemand noch einen Tip? http://www.au-ja.de/guide-openmediavault-2.phtml

Update: Es funktioniert jetzt mit folgenden Tipps:
1. Bootreihenfolge wie im Link oben ändern
2. In meinem speziellen Fall MOBO p5q pro im BIOS Sata auf IDE kompatibel stellen und Festplattenreihenfolge (im Bos unter Boot) so einstellen, dass IDE an erster Stelle ist und USB an zweiter (ist ein andere Einstellungspunkt als unter 1.).
3. USB Stick nach Installation entfernen (in der Installation steht CD ROM/ Disketten entfernen)

Hallo Omavoss,

hab dies versucht. Eine 160GB IDE Platte angehängt, Jumper kontrolliert, leider mit dem selben Ergebnis. Habe spasseshalber mal einen USB Stick danach angeschlossen, wird als SDA erkannt und läuft ohne Probleme durch. Ich glaube auch, dass dieses Szenario nicht mit OMV zusammen hängt...

Ich weiß im Augenblick nicht so recht weiter... Scheinbar erkennt Debian/OMV hier keine hda wenn ich von einem SATA CD Rom installiere?

Hallo und guten Abend,

dieses ist mein erster Post hier im Forum. Ich scheitere an der Erstinstallation von OVM 3.0 auf meinem Serversystem. Bis vor einigen Tage lief darauf Windows 10 ohne Probleme.

Das System besteht aus einem Intel Prozessor Q9300, einem Asus p5q pro Board, 6 GB Ram und 3*2 TB Sata HDD. Systemfestplatte ist ein 6 GB Microdrive mittels IDE Adapter am IDE Steckplatz-

Zur Installation habe ich die Sata Festplatten abgezogen. Nur das Sata DVD Rom ist angeschlossen und das Microdrive am IDE. Das System installiert bis zu dem Punkt, wo die Swap Datei erstellt werden soll und endet sinngemäß mit der Fehlermeldung, dass auf dev/sda/ nicht installiert werden kann. Dies möchte ich ja auch gar nicht, denn es soll ja auf IDE installiert werden. Aber dies bekomme ich nicht hin.

Kann ich hier Hilfe bekommen? Vielen Dank
