Not at all clear what you are doing. Provide the exact steps in detail. Every step.

I'm trying to install OMV8 on a brand-new Topton N5105 NAS motherboard. The OS drive is a 32GB Sandisk USB 3.2 drive.
Basically, I'm stuck. In a nutshell the installation fails the "Partition disks" step. I have tried both the standard amd64 installation…

Run "sudo dmesg -w" and then plug in the device and see if the kernel prints any messages. Currently, lsblk shows the device isn't recognised.

What was the problem? I'm using the stock Debian 13/trixie (OMV 8 ) kernel and zfs-dkms built fine. Kernel is 6.12.57+deb13-amd64

OOPS, I missed that you are using 6.17. Why?

It could be one of two things.

1. A problem with your network configuration.
2. A temporary issue with GitHub.

I would wait a bit and try again. If it still doesn't work, check your network.

LACP can't make a single connection faster, only multiple connections. So it depends which protocol you're using with rclone and whether it will make multiple connections between the hosts.

Then install OMV afterwards.

Trying to install omv-extras, and all the guides say to run
wget -O - https://github.com/OpenMediaVa…ckages/raw/master/install | bash
on either putty or through the scheduled task. I tried both and each time I get the same message:

This is wrong, it is trying to run the HTML of the omv-extras.org web page. Read that page for the instructions.
