I don't know what changed for you, but fwiw I schedule this for each array in the omv scheduled task list. This appears to still work. The scheduling is human readable too :-).

If it's the only drive in the system and you have installed omv to it, it is already mounted as the os drive. if it wasn't mounted, the system would not boot. -

Did an upgrade from OMV 7 to 8, and ran into a bunch of issues I can't seem to find a solution for. Eventually was able to start OMV (manually... from the GRUB prompt... but at least it is somewhat running, SAMBA and KVM functional, even web GUI… -

I ran the upgrade from 7 to 8 with no problems. Whe I ran fix7to8upgrade it ran well except for a some errors at the end. Here are the errors at the end of the run.
When I ran apt update after this I ran in a grub error. Should it be located to sdd or… -

I tried to simplify things and try to install nvidia detect and it fails also.

This is preloading a set file and something I cannot change. My only error now is trying to get the firmware to load without a Hash Sum Mismatch error.
