Windows doesn't support virtio out of the box. That is why I used the intel gbe hardware. Since a lot of noobs use windows on the kvm plugin, I wouldn't want them to select virtio and not know how to… -

Well, that's right, but also for every other Hypervisor, too, except Hyper-V. So, should be common to start any new VM with 2 CD-ROM, one for OS installer, one for PV drivers ... at least its my approach on whatever Hypervisor I work(ed)… -

Is it possible that I could adjust my /etc/hosts and save my correct hostname under 127.0.0.1, and then use the command you posted to me to fix everything?
