    Just use the latest V7 release. I know V8 is available, but it's pretty new. I usually wait 6 months to upgrade.

    I've been using OMV since Version3.xx and never had any reliability issues at all. AT ALL.

    Why would you never upgrade? It makes no sense.

    I chickened out...

    I was able to restore the OS drive (now on an SSD), so my old 2.2.14 is up and running as happily as ever.

    Nevertheless, I will be upgrading to the latest version. I just need some more time to prepare.

    8.1.2 in the repo. It will default to the most frequent retention period to run the cron job. You will be able to enable more cron jobs but this may cause more than one archive to be created in a short amount of time.

    I see what I did. I changed how the plugin works from having retention periods to multiple runs. I need to make that selectable I guess.

    I have a HC4 as well, and upgraded it without a problem.

    That is, once I ran the fix7to8upgrade script after the upgrade, due to plugins being stuck at their 7.x versions. But once the script finished, everything was fine.

    Not necessarily, I would think. From what I understand, omv-regen is more like installing a fresh system, then reconfiguring it one step at a time to match what you had before - minus any software faults, broken package dependencies, corrupted configs,…
