    nothing edited through command line. editing through network>interfaces> eth0> dns. issues seem to happen even if iv nothing but omv installed on my pi. if i ping it through bash it just comes back host is down. and the dashboard dosnt load at all…

    Got it. So, good to know that I can use both adapters for network aggregation only. I will think about bonding them later.

    But the first issue is that when I add wlan0 through OMV UI (network > interfaces) and reboot the server. LAN (appearing as end0)…

    You sounds like a bot. And your statement is not correct. The Configs tab config files still need to be referenced in the compose file under volumes.

    I honestly have never used a symlink for a disk path. I assume kvm/qemu doesn't have a problem with that but I don't know. Are you sure permissions were correct? And I assume you always made changes with the VM powered off?
