Good call - my guess is it was pre-formatted fat32 or something and I just didn't change it. I'll definitely do that.

Great question - I'm not entirely sure to be honest and without portainer, apparently I can't even see any of them. Once compose was built into the GUI I switched over to using that (actually much easier) but I only have one "file" I built out in that…

Interesting thread as I recently built a new rpi5 and I noticed cloud init was doing some stuff on every boot. I had an error in my boot log nothing serious and I edited the cloud-init config to fix it.

Very happy to purge it altogether and I will do that…

    I tried many things...
    - Reformatting the drives with BTRFS again to get a "clean" state, didn't help
    - Updating the ASM1166 firmware for the SATA controller, no change
    - Reformat the drives with XFS, gave me no errors in the log, but file verify/read…

I would also recommend that once you get things back in order, you should have a look at the usb drive, and perhaps change the filesystem to something a little more linux native, like ext4 or xfs to ensure it is properly mountable in the future and will…

    To my knowledge you can't.

If you are looking to have access to a vm without having to go in and start the console, just use a VNC client to connect to the VNC port of the VM. The console is just a NOVNC console which maps is just VNC access mapped…

    One option:

Initialize the new app data drive and make sure the docker compose files all point to the new drive. It would be useful to know how you went about mapping this, ie in the env file, or differently for each docker compose files. Ideally it…

Well I thought I could figure this out but I'm having some trouble. Long story short, my containers all "disappeared" this morning. After much help from chente over in the Docker forum, I was able to determine my ssd that contains all my docker folders…
  • I appreciate the suggestion. I am learning Linux for the first time. Can you provide one example of when I would need to go into the "Storage > Shared Folders > Permissions @ myfolder" tab and adjust a user's Permissions setting? This will help me focus…
