    just as update, another server from an friend has the same issue now, after upgrading from 7 to 8, he gets the exact same mails

    arkansis: so removing openmediavault-ftp plugin and then reinstalling it fixed the mail for ftp for you?

    If you want something similar to what Windows does, you can do it. Simply use Linux ACL permissions, but you'll need to learn how to manage them properly.

    On consideration I'm wondering whether it might be better to clone the disks in the array using clonezilla or some other variant. It would be a complete pain and take forever but might be less of a risk.

    I would still prefer Plan A (I think).

    Good find. Yes, delete that file.

    OMV should be deleting /etc/netplan/00-installer-config.yaml once an adapter is configured in omv in my opinion. votdev

    I have the same in a VM installed from iso.
