The new changes (omv-zfs-provider-dkms etc) caused my system to install the Proxmox kernel even though I already had everything working with zfs-dkms and the standard Debian kernel.

I have the same issue with one of the proposed remote servers I'm intending on setting up. However my router allows me to change the IP range from the common 192.168.1.0/24 to whatever I like, I just have to choose something that's not used by ISPs. -
