    I decided to do a secure wipe on one of my drives without removing the associated shared folders as i assumed they would go away with the wipe anyway. Well now that they didn't even after deleting them I can't create a new file system on the drive…

    You changed to root using su or sudo su? You should use su - or sudo su - otherwise it will use your path.

    It's a fresh install of OMV 7 and OMV-extras.
    Also I'm using Kernel Linux 6.8.4-3-pve (not sure if this is relevant).
