    I never used systemresque but it sounds good. In the past when my laptop would not boot from system drive due to orruption of OS, I would just boot to Linux live usb stick and run timeshift to restore snapshot from source drive back to system drive.…

    Disliking what I said, won't solve your problem.
    The error you have is because you are using a NTFS drive to hold the compose folder.

    And it's better to click the bell on the Top right corner and copy/paste the complete error.

    Restoring a snapshot when the OS won't boot is something I thought would be done from something like systemrescue (it does include timeshift).

    I see it for plugin to do that (as a part of standard system backup/maintenance) and in case of catastrophic failure of OS (I had few of those due to my own [stupid] doing) be able to restore snapshot from bootable (are you thinking of "just"…

    Do you see this as something the plugin needs or would it be used from a bootable usb stick? I have an idea for it but I will need to setup some hardware to test better (instead of VMs).
