Installation instructions for Apple Xserve?

    Hi, I'd like to install OMV on my 2008 xserve for testing purposes. So far neither the USB or CD installer will boot on the xserve, probably due to EFI I'm guessing. If anyone has experience installing OMV on apple hardware I'd appreciate some tips.

    PS - I also tried the standard Debian installer and it doesn't boot either.

    You will probably have to install via debootstrap then. Boot something like systemrescuecd and then follow this guide
