Raid Problem

  • Hello all,


    I have start my OMV server this morning and i have error on start for starting apache and debian.


    I check the error and it is the sdb disk fail or my raid is md127


    Boot log :



    Mdam config is ok (i think but raid have missing and i add it)



    Can anyone help me ?


    I can access to raid and all my data (i'm in last version of omv 0.4.x)

    That shows the raid is fine. There are quite a few things failing. Do you have OMV installed on a usb stick or is the main drive full?

    Your usb stick is going to die. You are just lucky you got many months out of it. We strongly recommend against using usb sticks. You will have to reinstall. You won't be able to clone the usb stick because the damage is already done. I highly recommend reinstalling on a hard drive or ssd.

    No. You could save your /etc/openmediavault/config.xml for reference but transferring it won't work.

    You won't lose any data, just the configuration. It will autodetect your raid and disks. You need to mount them and then setup everything (shares, users, etc) the same as before.


    Yes, you can install it on a ssd or hard drive connected by usb.
