After the upgrade I'm on kernel 4.14.98-v7+, but still no success.

And the networks must be in range, since the pi is ~1m far from my router (as it is wired at the moment).
Edit: I've tried installing directly on the mentioned 32GB Sandisk Class10/A1 and results are exactly same. Still no wifi + kernel 4.14.34-v7+ (after letting it "finish installation" for 3 hours).
It only goes higher after apt upgrade. But letting it finish installation always ends on 4.14.34-v7+.

Unfortunately not. After trying out the RPi 3B internal Wi-Fi some time ago in my crowded area I also gave totally up on the idea to use 1T1R Wi-Fi at all.
What is 1T1R?
I will probably stick to ethernet, which is more reliable anyway.

Single antenna Wi-Fi. If you're not living in a rural area you can forget about any decent wireless throughput numbers. Cables exist for a reason

Alles anzeigenI started to create OMV4 images for ARM boards. After checking download statistics I will only care about boards for which images were downloaded at least 30 times a month.
The goal ist the same as with the OMV 3 approach from last year: provide settings that allow for maximum performance with minimum consumption at the same time, flashmemory plugin enabled to reduce wear on SD cards, no monitoring activated by intention for the same reason.
The whole process is scripted as usual so it's rather boring to go through this. Also I gave away or sold most of the boards I owned last year so I won't be able to test through a lot of boards.
At this URL http://kaiser-edv.de/tmp/jCslC8/ OMV4 images have been uploaded, most probably followed by one for Raspberries soon (due to closed source nature of the RPi stuff requiring maximum efforts). For each image/board at least one volunteer is needed booting the image, doing some basic tests, logging in via SSH and providing generic feedback and 'armbianmonitor -u' output (see below for example URLs).
The below test results will be updated over time:
- Allwinner A20 family: Successfully tested Cubietruck (myself), Banana Pi (frankm)
- Allwinner H3 family: Successfully tested Orange PI PC Plus (myself)
- Allwinner H5 family: Successfully tested OPi Zero Plus (by guidol). Known issue: cpufreq not working, CPU cores limited to 816 MHz, shouldn't affect NAS performance that much and will be fixed by apt update in a few weeks/months
- ODROID-C2: Successfully tested (by @ryecoaaron)
- ODROID-XU4/HC1/HC2: Successfully tested (by @vinntec)
- Pine64: Successfully tested (by [ade]). Known issue: cpufreq and thermal readouts not working, CPU cores limited to 816 MHz, shouldn't affect NAS performance that much and will be fixed by apt update in a few weeks/months
- Raspberry Pi: Successfully tested RPi 2 (myself), RPi 3 ( jata1)

I've picked up a 2GB RPi 4, and would like to use it for a PLEX music server for a family friend but I've just recently been notified the latest PLEX release will be needed to access premium metadata:
"Starting July 1, Plex Media Server version 1.15.8 or higher will be required to continue to add music to Premium music libraries."
I'm a bit of a noob but I had previously gotten OMV+PLEX up and running on the RPi3.

Download the plugin to enable this repository here:
For OMV 2.x (stoneburner) - openmediavault-omvextrasorg_latest_all.deb
For OMV 3.x (erasmus) - openmediavault-omvextrasorg_latest_all3.deb
For OMV 4.x (arrakis) - openmediavault-omvextrasorg_latest_all4.deb
Go to the plugin tab in OMV's web interface.
Upload the file.
Select the newly uploaded plugin openmediavault-omvextrasorg
Click on Install. Refresh page.
Go to the plugin tab and click Check.

From command line as root
