Netgear A6200 driver install via CLI

  • First of all Hi everyone! I'm really looking forward to using this software for the first time but have this hurdle which I need to overcome with your help please.

I am new to linux and CLI but I want to install the drivers for the Netgear A6200 wireless usb adaptor so that I can login in to the webgui. It's not possible at the moment. I have the drivers available from post #7 on this site here ...http://forum1.netgear.com/showthread.php?t=79948. Now how would I go about installing these from a usb stick in CLI. My NAS has a monitor for me to use.

    Thanks for any help!

That really isn't a driver. ndiswrapper allows you to use the windows driver. This is difficult to setup and isn't really something you want to try to get working from the CLI and get working with OMV. I wouldn't recommend using wireless with OMV (or any server really). If you really have to have wireless and 802.11ac, I would get an 802.11ac wireless bridge so you can plug the box in using an ethernet cable.
