You have to build php5-pam for the RPi1. I'm not going to because I don't want to support OMV on the RPi1 anymore. The php5-pam package for OMV 2.x won't work either because of a different version of the PHP API. I recommend buying an RPi3. You would be able to move your SD card to it and everything should work (might need to fix networking though).

  • Sorry but i do not agree with this approach.
Rpi 1 is working great with omv until i unfortunately decided to update it.
The hw of rpi is ok for a nas solution so ..
How can i restore the previous eirking configuration?
Without webgui, it is possibile to configure and run properly omv?
In fact now im omv with no gui but with plugins running good.
But if i have to change or install or uninstall something, is it possible and quite easy to do it via ssh?

There is no restoring the previous config unless you have a backup. I recommend staying on OMV 2.x and not updating php5-pam.

  • Thank you.
    About the second question:
I have lost webgui but omv is running ...
I see samba shares, transmission webgui and so on ...
Can i continue in this way?
Is it possible to do everything via ssh?

    • Offizieller Beitrag

Yes, you can continue on that way but I wouldn't update anything which is a bad idea itself.

You can do everything via ssh if you know OMV VERY well. It isn't easy and would much easier to reinstall 2.x.

  • ryecoaaron,
i have reinstalled OMV 2.0.15 for my PI 1 B+
i have reinstalled some plugins, but i cannot find out Jdownloader ....
    ho to install it?
and if i want to update, how to deselect from updating php5?

    thanx

    • Offizieller Beitrag

jdownloader is in the download managers repo. Is it enabled?

You can update php5. You just don't want to update php5-pam. sudo apt-mark hold php5-pam
