Physical Disk Properties - all discs the same

I have two 1Tb discs attached to my Pi; one is the master, the other a slave which backs up the master daily.

When I set the Physical Disk Properties of one disc it automatically affects the properties of the other when I confirm the "save". How can I set them so that they are different?

For the record, I want the Master to spindown at 30 minutes, the Slave at 5 mins; I want the Master to have no write cache, the Slave to have write cache.

What filesystem? I can see this happening if the drives aren't passing through a serial number and/or have the same filesystem UUID? The output of blkid would be helpful.
