OMV 1.8 and ext4 - is it OK to use (and worth it)?

Hello all,

I'm installing OMV on my Iomega/Lenovo Home Media Network Drive Cloud Edition, it's already running and working fine so far.

However, I've been reading some posts where people were having issues with ext4.

My drive is formatted with ext3, and empty so far. Is it worth to format as ext4? Is it working fine with OMV 1.8?

The posts I saw regarding ext4 and OMV were a bit old, OMV version 0.3 or 0.4, don't remember. Anyway, I wanted to be sure.
