I suspect this is a self-inflicted wound, but not sure how I did it - maybe from updating PMS from a web client (if that is possible).
OMV's update manager now fails for me and I have traced the issue to the content of the file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/plexmediaserver.list which is: deb http://plex.r.worldssl.net/PlexMediaServer/ubuntu-repo lucid main
What is the content of this file supposed to be? Any suggestions on how this happened?
This is second time I see this problem. Did you try to upgrade plexmediaserver in it's user interface? There is a file with that repo in /etc/apt/sources.list.d. You need to find the file that has that repo and delete it. The do:
apt-get update
Then only do upgrades for Plexmediaserver in the OMV Update Manager.

I don't know if it's the same problem, but it fits the topic I think.
Fixed by deleting the file "/etc/apt/sources.list.d/plexmediaserver.list"
I must have updated PMS via the client at some point.
So, it is it safe to assume plexmediaserver.list was not a necessary file?

Nope. A different repo is used and added by omv-extras.
