Now I have two reasons to get Java working. In addition to BubbleUPnP server I am giving up on MiniDLNA and moving to Minimserver (if possible).
For the past year I have had trouble seeing all my media library using Minimserver. Andrew, admin at Vortexbox, makes a strong recommendation for Minimserver for folks like me with a large library:

"miniDLNA works OK but has some problems. That's why we don't include it with VortexBox anymore. MinimServer is the best DLNA server. You can install it from the package manager in the VortexBox web GUI.
If you already have miniDLNA working don't worry about it but it can become unstable with large collections."
These instructions include the best guide for installing Java that I have read:

It will still be a challenge for me. What do I need to cleanup before I can move forward?
I am using the ASRock C2750D4I, Samsung 120Gb SSD OS, 7 x 2Tb WD Red drives.
