Media streaming boxes accessing OMV running on PI2, can I prevent network sleep/lower power mode

  • New to OMV on my Pi2, Installed 2.0.15, got my samba shares going from an external (powered) hard drive. I have multiple android boxes running Kodi, (every device is hard wired) using OMV as my a network media drive. Everything seems to work for the most part I just have one annoyance and a question.

    My main problem is this:
    1. If I am streaming something from my Android box (Laptop behaves the same way too), I stop watching for "x" amount of time say, a couple hours. When I come back and I try to play the show again (or next show) it will say "loading" but crap out after a couple seconds.. If I play a 2nd time, it will work on the 2nd time.. I feel like the 1st click is waking up the server, 2nd attempt is showing.

When i try this on a windows PC that is also hosting files this doesnt occur, is there a setting or plug-in that can help out my scenario.

    My Question is this:
    1. What hard wired speeds are other users experiencing? Im experiencing about 10Mb/sec transfer speeds, doesnt sounds blazing fast but its actually enough for my streaming boxes to work well even an 8gig MKV I tested over the network plays fine.

Im sorry if my question has been covered, I dont know what to search for, I search for spin down and sleep and they results didnt seem to help.

    Thanks in advance!
