Install to virtual disk

    Im planning on experimenting with ESXI on some enterprise server HW I have. If I create a Virtual disk can I install OMV to it? I read earlier wherever you install OMV to consumes the entire disk right? Would creating a virtual disk get around this and not consume the entire physical hdd?

    I think what you are looking for is the sizing of the virtual disk for the host. For a basic VM I would start with 20GB for OMV to install. That should be plenty of room to install, update, and add plugins. Any other disks you add will be for data. I hope that makes sense.
