What about Proxmox + OpenVz + OMV + Raid0

  • Hi,

    After a search about Proxmox on the forum, I have a question.

    At home I have this hardware :
    --- 1 computer with
    - 2x500GB -> Raid0
    - 1x1TB -> Backup Raid0
    - 1x160GB -> OS (Proxmox)

    --- 2 x Dell 1950 without storage

    So, I want to install Proxmox on the computer for store vm and data and on the servers to host vm too.
    I want install Openmediavault from sources on a Debian container on the filer, this is done, OMV works.
    But I have a problem, i have "bind mounted" the 1TB hdd for attach it into the container but in the OMV web interface I can't see this hdd.

    Anyone has already try my installation ? Am I on the good way ?

    Thanks for reply and sorry for my bad english !! :)

  • Hmm,

    OMV is only aware of phyiscal disks and the mount point on that (if it created the mounts themself). The mounts you want to use in OMV needs manual configuration in the OMV.xml files ...

    That is quite a bit of tinkering and dangerous.

    Maybe someone else can help you on this.

    Everything is possible, sometimes it requires Google to find out how.
