Shared folder incorrect operation

Hi all I'm running open media vault 5 on a raspberry pi 2 b+ and have created a shared drive. All was working well until I power off the pi by pulling the power cord. I can still connect to the drive and open the files but it seems as if the drive is now protected. I am unable to edit any document on there. I am unable to delete or add files. I have tried rebooting and shutting down in the gui but this hasn't worked. I am using Windows 10 to access the drive. Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
