I am running OMV 5.6.2 with a 5 disk raid 5. I would like to use an external bitmap file, on an SSD - which I have mounted on /var . I have added the bitmap file, mdadm --grow --bitmap=/var/.md0_bimap_file /dev/md0. Confirmed that with mdadm -D /dev/md0 that the file is active and in use. I have updated the /etc/mdadm/mdadm.conf to reflect the bitmap usage ARRAY /dev/md0 metadata=1.2 bitmap=/var/.md0_bimap_file name.....
Every time I reboot the array defaults to an internal bitmap. Is this because the array gets assembled before the /var gets mounted or a bug or be design ?
