OMV5 syslog server

Has anyone created a remote syslog server on OMV5? I'm looking to send logging from my network devices to a central log server and running a HC4 and debian/OMV5 but I'd like to somehow move the logs to the spinning disks and not flash, but also have these logs readable from within OMV.

Is this possible? Should I use a docker container of syslog-ng or something?
