Hey guys. A friend of mine has an OMV 5 system running, without a UPS, and last night there was a power outage at his place, and he lost every single setting on his OMV. His media is still there, all data etc, every docker container, but it's like everything was just installed a minute ago. Is it possible that linux is this crappy?! A friend of mine recently told me that comparing to Windows, security wise, Linux is junk. I was shocked. You can say what you want about Windows, but in 2 decades I think my PCs got power losses over 100-200 times, I've never lost a single piece of data. Linux on the other hand, I have it on my laptop, I had an issue with my battery, it turned off, and I lost everything. It was Fedora I think. This is horrible. So, he has to setup everything from the top each time he has a power outage?! INSANE! =O
