ZFS Import Filesystme not appearing

  • Hi, I am new to OpenMediaVault. Until recently I had a ZFS pool on Freenas.

I have installed OMV and the ZFS plugin, along with several of the standard plugins.

I used the Import feature of the ZFS plugin to import my pool.

Under the ZFS > Pools screen I see all of my "FileSystems" there, including one called "TV Shows".

I can also see this in the directory structure using the shell (Wetty).

However, under the Storage > File systems screen, I see all of the filesystems apart from the "TV Shows" one.

Maybe this is because it had a space in the name?

Is there a way to import the missing FileSystem into the Storage > File systems screen?

I've attached a screenshot of each of those screens.

I hope I've got my terminology right, as I'm not very experienced with Linux/OMV/Freenas.

Most likely. I would rename it from the command line.

  • Would I do that simply by renaming the directory using the shell? And would I need to run any commands afterwards or would it just appear in the Filesystems list?

I am worried I'll mess something up!

    Run the import again.

No backup? Raid/zfs are not backup.

  • Thanks very much ryecoaaron!

To close the loop on this, I used:

    Code
    zfs list
    zfs rename 'MainDisk/TV Shows' MainDisk/TVShows
    zfs list

The OMV UI reflected this change under ZFS > Pools, and then popped up with "You have changes to apply" dialog. On accepting those, the renamed FileSystem appeared under Storage/Filesystems.

As a bonus, I have a better understanding of ZFS too :) .
